About Tim Briggs
I am an Industrial Designer that has worked in many different industries including Toy Design, Advertisement, and Material Science. I am currently working for CertainTeed as the Lead Industrial Designer for their North American research and development team called Platforms. I graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in Industrial Design.
I am currently focusing on manufacturing custom objects with a combination of digital, analog, and organic tools with an emphasis on manufacturing at the mass market scale.
My passion is designing products and experiences that are sustainable, innovative, and create authentic and unique experiences for every user. As of 2019, I have 5 patents pending for products designed with these characteristics in mind. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, and backcountry skiing with Bodhi - my wirehaired pointing griffon.

"In addition to working with Tim at Saint-Gobain I also worked with him on external projects. He always delivers a high quality of product and helps others understand his work if they aren't in the same field. By communicating in this way, not only is Tim's work excellent but colleagues have can better understand how different aspects of a project can fit together. This leads to efficient workflow and seamless integration of the end product."
- Ian, Saint Gobain
Tim is not only one of the best designers I’ve ever worked with—he’s one of the best people I’ve ever worked with. Positive, encouraging, and just fun to be around, I hope to work with him again.
